Arise Transit maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding conduct that threatens the safety or well-being of our passengers, drivers, and the community. This policy is implemented in accordance with local transportation regulations.

Driver Conduct

All Arise Transit drivers must adhere to a strict code of professional conduct. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for the following behaviors from our drivers:

  • Use of alcohol or controlled substances while on duty
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances
  • Discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or age
  • Harassment or inappropriate behavior toward passengers
  • Reckless driving or traffic violations
  • Unauthorized sharing of passenger information

Any violations of this policy will result in immediate suspension and investigation. Confirmed violations will result in termination and possible reporting to relevant authorities.

Passenger Conduct

Arise Transit reserves the right to refuse or cancel service to passengers who engage in:

  • Abusive, discriminatory, or threatening behavior toward drivers or other passengers
  • Illegal activities in our vehicles
  • Possession or use of weapons
  • Damage to company vehicles
  • Extreme intoxication that presents safety concerns

Substance Abuse Policy

Arise Transit maintains a substance-free workplace policy. All drivers undergo:

  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Random drug and alcohol testing
  • Post-accident testing
  • Testing upon reasonable suspicion

Our vehicles and properties are strictly drug and alcohol-free zones. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination.

Emergency Situations

In case of emergency, call 911 immediately.

This zero-tolerance policy is in compliance with Ordinance 29596 (effective 4/30/15) and is subject to change based on updates to city transportation regulations.
